Shakira's Story

When we first met Shakira at the age of 4, she was living in one room with 6 family members. With your support, we have supported Shakira with an education and all necessities that a young girl needs to grow. At the same time we have empowered her mother through her past traumas. 

Shakira has since performed for the President of Rwanda in August 2023, flown to Zanzibar to dance, and flown to the United States of America to perform for Bill and Melinda Gates at the Goalkeepers event during the UNGA in 2019! She is proof that your beginning does not determine your end.

Shakira is now lifting her entire family out of poverty at the age of just 9 years old. She is thriving in school and has inspired many young people around her to live out their dreams.
