ABOUT US
We are transforming lives through music, dance, and talent development across Africa, breaking down the barriers that keep even the most gifted young people from ever getting a chance. Access to the creative arts shouldn’t depend on privilege.
We’re here to level the playing field so it doesn’t have to.
At the same time, we use our platform to share African culture with the world through vibrant performances and storytelling, ensuring that this recognition brings direct, lasting benefit back to the communities it comes from.
Today, we support over 1,000 children, youth, and women, giving them the space, the skills, and the resources to turn raw talent into a career, and a career into a way out of poverty.
Beyond talent development, we walk with these young people toward a life of dignity, providing access to education, healthcare, shelter, weekly nutritious meals and real industry access.

Our Goal
Rwanda's Premier Centre for the Creative Arts.
The Sherrie Silver Foundation is set to build Rwanda’s premier centre for the creative arts — a direct response to the lack of venues built for artists to train, grow and showcase.
This landmark venue will be more than a permanent home: a Talent Development Centre offering training across performing arts, multimedia and audiovisual production.
A true cultural and social hub — recreation, dining, shopping, festivals — for the community and visitors to Rwanda.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Sherrie Silver — MTV VMA award-winning choreographer, creative director, and UN IFAD Advocate for Rural Youth.
Trained at Stage Coach Performing Arts School; at 15 starred in Africa United. Choreographed Childish Gambino’s Grammy-winning This Is America — the first African to win an MTV Video Music Award. Worked with Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Lewis Hamilton, Vogue, Disney, Nike, Apple, Google; films Sing 2 and Minions; TIME100 Impact Award (2023), TRACE Changemaker Award (2025). Partners with WHO and Malaria No More.
She started the Sherrie Silver Foundation for Rwanda’s young people — and is building Rwanda’s premier centre for the creative arts.
